Beagler
I wish to remove so Dent man can get at rear panel and I can paint the tank. How do connections and fuel pipe need to be released. I assume it comes already installed in kit so manual doesnt seem to cover its removal or am I mistaken.

SM25T
Have to watch for some sort of release button on the plastic fuel pipe connection. Then the big ring that holds the pump unscrews.

Beagler
Just need to remove tank not pump. Dentman needs access to inner face back panel. Lower half oxidised might as well paint with etching primer and silver paint. Its how the connectors disconnect.
Jonathan Kay
If you get stuck on the connectors please post a photo.Jonathan
Beagler
The plug is easy its the elbow type connector to the big access ring.1st photo. Dont want to damage it.The filler tubes have jubilee clips and I can remove filler in back panel but there is a tube left side that goes to the tank holding bar and comes from filler neck.. Maybe a breather.
Wrightpayne
Its a ford OEM pump, what does google say about disconnecting?
Beagler
Lots of different removal tools and connectors on google. May have to release tank and just raise in situ for access and just disconnect filler.
