Molecular--Bob Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Has anyone made up a remote bleed for the type 9 hydraulic release bearing? I don't seem to have the knack for using the solid rod style bleed that "just" pokes through the top of the bell housing. A pointer to a kit to buy, or a list of parts would be a great help.
7 wonders of the world Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 yes you can made a hose and end it at thro the bellhousing the a bulkhead bleed uniom - basically a M14 male with a lock nut and fine bleed nipple, the nipples are quite fragile and if not secured correctly the male can come undone, if either fail its an engine out job.the long rigid one is more durable, you need to ensure the hole in bellhousing aligns correctly, I agree another 10mm in length wouldn't go amis though - on my list of things to do.
