Hampshire West AR Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 Could anyone send me a copy of WN371 as I want to ensure my fuel tank breather is correct when I fit my aero filler cap. Nick
Hampshire West AR Posted October 4, 2020 Author Posted October 4, 2020 Thanks Jonathan, received with thanks.
Grebby Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I'm checking my fuel tank breather at the moment and I have a copy of the Workshop Notice but what is a "monoclamp"?The notice says to secure the valve to the fuel hose with a monoclamp but nothing is shown in the photos.CheersGrebby
SM25T Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 For fuel hoses, use a fuel hose clamp, not a jubilee clip. They clamp more evenly all round the hose. Each size does z very small range of diameters though, like 11-13mm or 13-15mm
Grebby Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 Thanks Ian.I have fuel hose clamps. I was just wondering what a "monoclamp" was? My google fu failed me yesterday but seems to be working today
SM25T Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 I think they are designed to be squeezed once in place. I prefer the screw ones.
Grebby Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 Yep. Once I saw a picture of one I knew what they were it's just my google fu wasn't working yesterday.I have normal fuel hose clamps as you showed above. I also have a home made version of this which I might use either side of the one way valve as the result is a lot less bulky than any clamp and doesn't catch on things.
Wrightpayne Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 I have some Knipex end cutting nippers which are good for squeezing up the Oetiker style clamps.
SPW Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Can someone please post a copy or link to the Workshop notice referenced in the OP please?
rj Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 There are two different workshop notices: www.regins.dk/Caterham/Wrnot371_fuel_tank_breather.doc and www.regins.dk/Caterham/Wrnot371_fuel_tank_breather-RE ISSUE.doc
