So my baseball cap comes flying off, if I wear it backwards I look like an aging skateboarder - ditto for my http://crasche.com/products (and totally wrong in this heat). Helmets are a complete no no for the road. The buff neck warmer worn over the mouth seals the Mad Max look ...

Having aero-screened on loose gravel roads in New Zealand I now value the relative safety of laminated glass over the involvement offered by the more 'open' option.

I normally wear ballistic glasses with a retaining cord that I attach the back of my baseball cap to, for speeds up to about 80km/h. At 100 to 130km/h on the main highways I normally wear a full face helmet. I was glad of a full face helmet today on a blat when a pickup truck coming the other way threw an approximately 20mm stone out of it’s tyre that glanced off my helmet above the left of my forehead with a very loud crack, probably about 240km/h closing speed on that stone.

Why do you care what you look like, it's all part of the madness of our little cars. Ballistic Google's, hearing protection and Halvarssons Neck Collar , (best £14 spent on eBay) work for me.
