Hanns Per
this is what works for me best and gives me always ambient temps for the air intake: Radiator 10 cm slimmer than the original but 20mm thicker i.e. 60mm and one SPAL 13" fan VA10-AP50/C-61A. I just returned from a 4500 km trip through france with temps up to 37 degree and it worked very fine.I will stay with this concept. The only thing I would have made different is to have the radiator intake on the top left side and the outtke on the bottom right side, this because I have an water outlet from the cylinder head which goes to the left side. Here some pics:these power tapes are part of the test rig not yet final
7 wonders of the world
it might be the angle of the photo but it looks like he air filter suffers significant distortion against the bonnet which will have quite an effect on performance.I had the same problem and after tuning he inlet lengths the only option was having about 98% of my air filter on the outside of the bonnet
Hanns Per
Yes the air filter touches the bonnet, however since I do not tracks only fast road I rev normally up to 4500 only when aggressive overtaking more than I id not feel any performance loss. But maybe also because I don't really need it :-). However this intake forces filtered air into the TB filter and should also deliver enough for cyl. 1. On sparks I did not see any negative impact.
