Just buying fluids in general for service purposes. Im wavering over buying the bog standard Comma DOT4 fluid that was provided with kit, and available everywhere.

Is there any concensus on the best (or better) DOT 4 fluid please?

What are folks using, mainly track day use?

What's your track set-up (power, tyres, brakes and pads etc) and do you think that what you've been using so far has been a problem?

Previous discussion, and see especially the first two threads.

I'll take a lot of convincing that there's anything better than the factory recommended fluid for most 7s in most situations.

Motul RBF 600, if the car is being tracked. Readily available and a reasonable price for the performance. In Canada any track I have been to requires brake fluid to be less than 6 months old, so I just change it before the first track day each year.

If changing at least once a year, wet boiling point is not too important, but the dry boiling points are:

Comma 4 - 265°C

Comma 5.1 - 278°C

Motul RBF 600 - 312°C

Castrol SRF - 320°C

SRF is excellent but is typically more than twice the price of RBF 600.

Thanks folks, I just want to try something different that may be an improvement. So I'll give this RBF 600 a go. My pedal does go a little soft on hot lap track days, but always recovers. A change is as good as a rest.
