Steveh7 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Last session on a drying track (last sprint run) I was a little optimistic with my entry speed and didn't fall off but did clatter a cone.I have a smack right on the top middle part of the wing however no cracks so I think it just needs to be filled and sprayed black.Any advice on techniques/guides and filler greatly received :)Steve
Jonathan Kay Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Can you add photos of the outside and inside? If it's going to involve more than filler I'd recommend practising on a bit of scrap before doing the bit that matters.Jonathan
Duckpit Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi SteveIf there is no crack then you dont need the glass matting. Presumably you have star cracks in the gel coat. I would dig these out/widen them so the filler has somewhere to go and something to grip, then use a filler like Isopon P38. Preparation is the key before paintng so lots of sanding etc before you get it right, no doubt, then undercoats & finally top coats, you might well want to do whole wing to get it blended OK. Good luck
