andy oliver
'Cos I have.My problem is that the electrically operated valve that works it keeps blowing it's fuse.Being a bit gash my first idea was to use a bigger fuse but having got up to 15amps(should use a 5amp)and it's still blowing I bottled out before something catches fire. Before the fuse goes it works very well, and the windings in the actuator show the correct resistance(16ohms)so I'm a bit baffled. My only modification was to fit an LED from the switch to earth to show when it's on,would this draw enough current to blow the fuse?-any suggestions gratefully received. StewartG
What is an Accusump and how does it work and where can you find space for it? I thought LEDs drew next to no current.
Lawrence_Z
It may be the LED.... Did you pick a 12 volt one? If not change it or add an inline resistor to drop the voltage to suit the LED your using smile.gif Lawrence Hoy Scottish AO smile.gif Edited by - Lawrence_z on 3 Dec 2000 22:04:
andy oliver
Stewart-it's really just a poor mans dry-sump and there is room for it.If you want the details put Accusump in your search engine and it's all explained. Lawrence-yes it is a 12v LED(at least thats what I asked for when I ordered it)I've disconnected it now but haven't had the opportunity to drive the car to see what the fuse does,it normally blows after a few miles.
