12v Socket Removal

Have just got a CSR which handily has a 12v Socket on the rear bulkhead between the seats. Want to fit my intercom in the boot and thought I could use the socket power feed for the intercom. To get to the back looks like a diff out job, will the socket prize out from the cockpit?

Could always fit a 12v plug to the intercom but would prefer to wire from the back.

Don't know about access but JonL has just got to the back of his. I'd ask him.

NB think about adding USB sockets if you're fitting anything. You can get single units that include both.

His sounds like it is probably fitted where I had the one on my K series, under the dash and easy to access.

Great choice of 7!

You can get to the socket if you remove the rear wheel. I did the same as you recently - it's fiddly but achievable. I took the opportunity to replace the socket with a dual USB version off eBay which is much more practical (and sealed which the Caterham version isn't)
