Indicator Lenses

Is there any particular reason why Sevens are generally fitted with clear lenses and orange bulbs.

A few years ago when l had my previous Seven, it had orange lenses and clear bulbs.

I would be interested to know if there is a benefit or if it is more of a stylistic trend.

Purely for looks. Orange lenses do a better job in my opinion.

And l guess the clear bulbs are more readily available.

Agree it's about looks.

It also interacts with the decision to use LED or incandescent bulbs. I tried to accumulate all the information and experiences about those in one place but failed. It might be worth trying again.
