Roger. I am at Crispin's tomorrow and will find out what his HPC has fitted.

Which edition is that, please? I checked my first edition when I was searching after ECR didn't get an answer and it has those on p217 for "Vauxhall 16 valve" but on p224 it says "part numbers for the 1991 Vauxhall engined HPC model were not available at the time of writing".

Thanks

Hi Roger

Crispin gave me the spark plug box he uses and it has the following part number: VSP 144. 90357582

it also has 024223559102V

Crispin sends his best regards to you and Barbara, as do I.

I will also look in my Tony Weal book.

regards

Piers

Roger

My 2009 NGK spark plug book says: Caterham HPC 16 Valve is either NGK BCPR7E (recomended) or BCPR7ES gapped at 0.7

regards

Roger

Tony Weale's book on page 217 says Champion C6 3YC, but this is for the 175 bhp engine.

Another here who fitted NGK BCPR7ES.

What came out interestingly were GM branded ones FLR8L, think Hyperion put them in about seven years ago. Found one identical set on eBay but decided to go with the lower cold rated and seemingly more recommended NGKs.

Car is running well on the NGKs.

Cheers

David
