nigelpugh Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I finally got around to buying one of these excellent tools to help with my build. I have added it to my Blog, but so many people on Facebook were asking for details about it, I thought it might help to provide more information about it here. Its called the Prees-N-Snap fastener tool, and is made by a US company called Hoover.I bought mine on line from a company called Sailrite, here's a link to their website.http://www.sailrite.com/#And here is an picture of the actual tool.
OliverSedlacek Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I saw that on facebook and I have to agree, it looks so much better than anything that involves a hammer!
Mrp Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I got one last year it's much better than the hammer method. Mrp
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted April 26, 2016 Area Representative Posted April 26, 2016 $125! It will have to be fabulous. Soft Bits hire the tool, which saves money.
cr500dom Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I can Confirm after borrowing ScottR400`s one that it is a fantastic tool, I cant imagine trying to fit that many snaps accurately with the hammer and punch method
DJ. Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Nice tool, I didn't fancy hammering them either. Bit pricey for me, so I welded the Caterham tool parts into a G clamp. It works quite well.
