Aston Ingham Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Get the apologies in early, if this has been asked and answered before.Should I look out for any sort of approval stamp or marking on an FIA rollbar? I've been offered a rollbar which is claimed to be FIA compliant (and matches pictures of others) that has been freshly powdercoated. Is there any kind of external marking or paperwork that, for example, a scrutineer would look for to confirm the standard? Or am I being paranoid? Thanks.
Delbert Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 The System when using a Petty strut is the FIA compliant structureSo the sticker is on the Petty strutThe Roll over bar on its own does not have a sticker ( Even though it is referred to as " an FIA Bar " )
robmar Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 You can also normally get a replacement sticker from the original manufacturer for a small fee.
Comp Sec Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Dependent on age the sticker will either be on the petty strut, or if made by Arch it is normally on the rear leg.for clarity you only need the stickers if you are considering using for MSA events, if you are only considering for L7C track days or road use then whilst the sticker is nice to have for future proofing
