Stopher-Walker
Does anyone have any advise about putting my 1.6K-series Supersport away for winter. It's not that I'm a wimp and can't stand the cold, but I'm on limited insurance and want to save my chasis for another year.
tgracing
Standard stuff really. Disconnect the battery and remove it Put the car on (4) axle stands to avoid square wheels WD40 anything electrical regularly WD40 anything that might rust Don't let the cat sit on your tonneau cover / roof (for the wimps) Turn the car over and get it up to temperature regularly Plus, most people also: Try and make it go faster Try and make it stop better Cheers, Davebo C7 CAR

Chelspeed
Makes WD40'ing the oily bits easier.
Red Line Components
but if they are oily bits, why do you need wd40.. oh never mind !! Do I take it that scrambling around on the floor with a WD40 spray can is not thorough enough - every little helps I guess. :-)
Slipper man
Best recommendation of the lot: buy a carcoon - makes all the WD40 artwork unnecessary.
rynicolson
Carcoon currently have a 25% discount offer... plus if you're lucky (and ask the question) they may have an ex. demo... these have a full 3 yr warranty, normally just used for a week at shows... if they have any they are usually half price... of course you can ask if they have larger (S3 fits a 7 but if none available look at larger sizes). Worth the £ and saves on the WD40 (they are even sending you a freeby can of their equivalent. No I'm not on commission nor do I have an interest in Carcoon! tgracing
Oh, I see. Turn the car over. Hardy har har. tongue.gif You only need to do that to shake out bits that fall down behind the seat, like coins, washers, small children, scrutineers, etc.wink.gif Davebo C7 CAR

CHRIS CLARK
Andy O.question.gifquestion.gif Is that the once only special winter "discounted to you mate" price, or is there any negotiation space in there? Is that including government added tax? Ta
andy oliver
Chris, I believe that's the bottom line including VAT and £10 postage.I wasn't smart enough to try to negotiate over the price but perhaps,if there is enough interest,it might be possible to get a club discount like that clever chap did with Armourfend. Also, they don't clobber your credit card 'til the 5 week wait is up.
