front suspension/wishbone set up- Trunnion uprights

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I know that the norm is to set the suspension up so that the lower wishbones are parallel to the ground but what about on cars with trunnions? The wishbones are different and I seem to remember that its the steering rack arms that need to be parallel to the ground, not the lower wishbones.

Can someone confirm that?

  • 2 weeks later...

My live axle trunnion set up has parallel wishbones and the steering rack arms are approx 1cm higher on the outside ie nearest to the wheel, taking measurements along the arm where it dissapears into the gaiter ie on the inside. (If that makes sense?)

Sorry for the late reply.
