LawrenceR
As I understand it (happy to be corrected and learn)Foam filter: Generally lower inlet temps Greater air flowAir box: Quieter
Mankee
With a dome/sausage filter:Pro: noiseCon: noise
solstice
It does look like the airflow will be strangled by the hose and cone filter, although on bikes there is a lot made of the plenum reducing turbulence and improving airflow through the throttle bodies. NickRob
I've got the plenum and a cone filter above the rad 1. What are the thoughts on this drawing in cooler air than a dome filter? and2. will the sensors (air temp I assume?) mounted on the plenum back plate work ok with a dome filter?I was considering changing to a dome as this may allow a greater air flow but then to to it properly I assume it would all need balancing again?Nick
