Barkalarr
I'm in the process of renovating a 1985 cross flow live axle for an ex club member. It's been standing for approx 15 years. My remit is to get it MOT'd so he can once again drive it.i just can't get the bugger started and am looking for some help from someone who is more of an expert than I.i've done an oil change, changed the coil, plugs, condenser and points. It's now sparking. There is petrol getting through and I've given the carbs a clean. The plugs are getting wet, but still this little bugger won't start.i suspect I've cocked up the timing or firing order or something very easy to fix as it coughs and splutters but won't catch.is there any cross flow expert out there who would be kind enough to have a look at it for me? I have trailer so can travel so I don't put anyone out.im located 15 mins outside Stansted airport.would appreciate any help as I'm now out of ideas ???? Barkalarr
New fuel, new coil, new plugs, new dizzy cap, new HT leads, new points, new condenser, cleaned carbs.its the timing adjustment I think is the problem.

Barkalarr
Nope still not started - I am waiting for a mate to get in touch. The car is in my trailer ready to be taken somewhere to fix it. I'm really looking to get it done one day this week if possible. If you can put me in touch with him then I would be grateful.
