Titanium7
I've currently have a front mounted fan but need to replace the leaking radiator.Apart from gaining space what is the advantage or reason for front mounting the radiator fan. I've searched the archives and can find no technical reason.
Mavic82
As you say it creates more space in the chassis and affords some protection for the rad but really can't see any performance benefit. Though..... I have a front mounted fan on my rad tech as I could fit a bigger fan on the front than I could on the back so I guess there is a performance reason. Jonathan Kay
I haven't seen anything that suggests it matters. But remember to check the direction of action afterwards! ;-)Does yours get up to the desired temperature cruising on cold days? If I were having a serious fettle in the area I'd probably make it easy to fit and remove a mask. And, of course, in your case a nominatively-determined logo.Jonathan
