mcerbm
i am entering my first super laps Scotland event. It's a sprint style event at knockhill but uses transponders. I'm sure it's in all the welcome packs for Caterham graduates but as a newbie to transponders where is the accepted position to mount on a Caterham?the tranx 260 I have had a mounting plate that wants to be attached to a vertical chassis rail but still needs to see the road. CharlesElliott
Hi - mount it on the front of the steering rack bridge, pointing downwards. From the Caterham Graduates info:The REQUIRED mounting position is the standard position for all Caterham race cars: On the chassis member which supports the steering rack. Mount it in FRONT of the steering rack and in the centre. You can drill a couple of holes in the rack mount, or you could probably just hold it with cable ties.
