Richards 7
HiMy temperature guage has failed on my 2003 K series SV. It is located in the top of the radiator and has two spade connectors. The supply to the sender is 12v, I assume the sender is therefore OK and the sender needs replacing. Am i correct and if so which sender fits as most seem to have only one terminal.Any help will be appreciated ThanksR
revilla
The sender for the gauge is located on the metal water rail just where it emerges from the rear left of the cylinder head. There are two senders next to each other, one with a single spade or nail head connector for the gauge and one with a two terminal connector for the ECU. The thing which you have found on the radiator with two spade terminals is the thermoswitch for the fan. The replacement sender is http://caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=17 - note that the design changed recently and the new sender has a nail head terminal rather than a spade. The connector on the wire still fits - you just push it on from the side (it will make sense when you see it!).
SM25T
Agree with the above. If not in stock at CC ... try Redline.
