Terry Field
Andrew,Why do you want a gearbox mount? I've never heard of it being a problem. Terry
Area Representative Andrew Gilbert Posted July 17, 2015 Author Area Representative Share Posted July 17, 2015 Thanks guys, its not an issue as such however my 7 is an ex race car (91 to 95 heavily competed in) and sports a sintered race clutch and as a consequence if I'm trying to manouvre the car around either town or in the paddock on a track day, I sometimes get a juddering and subsequent clunking that happens when the the clutch isn't fully engaged or as I'm trying to slip the clutch, so I thought as its probably led a hard life for the past few years I'd look at the mounts to see if I can replace or strengthen those. But I think my choices are either learn how to drive it properly, accept that this is going to happen if I'm not careful or replace the clutch. Trouble is I like the nature of the car on track as gear change and response is immediate even if the clutch is quite hard to use around town. Nigel Riches
I recently bought one from Redline, and seem to recall it being only a few quid. Nigel.
