Julian H
HiIs it okay to store my spare set of wheels / tyres in my shed [actually its a summerhouse ]? I'd rather not have to keep them in the utility room all the time, my only other option.Thanks.
TomB
My winter wheels and tyres are in the shed, why would it be a problem?
Julian H
I don't know why, I didn't want to make a schoolboy error. Thanks though.
virden
If you keep the tyres out of direct sunlight, and give them a good wash and dry before storage, all will be well..
2GBR
Actually one of the worst things is to store tyres in the same area as welding takes place such as arc, mig, tig etc as the light rays are much worse than the suns rays. Double wrap in black bin liners and store in dark area at as constant ambient as possible. If tyres are showing heat cycles ie a faint rainbow colour haze across the flat then a couple of applications of Tyre Softening Compound will help to bring them back towards their origional compound or even softer, But only for track days as frowned upon for racing etc
