Ian Mackenzie
Hi thereI just started the Duratec for the first time....however apart from running rich (I still need to sort out the fueling) I have a leak between the manifold and the head.....What sealant should I use (I used the standard metal gasket, but I am not convinced that the manifold flanges are completely flat).....recomendations please?ThanksIan
6speedmanual
What kind of metal gasket? Is it just metal or a multilayer construction. Wirh it being 4 seoarate headers I would expect each one to seat ok individually. Unles the actual flange at the end of the pipe is warped? Sorry just more Qs to understand issue... Ian Mackenzie
HiYes, it's the multilayer gasket....I think it is the flange at the end of the pipe that has a slight warp..but I'll need to invesigate further....CheersIan
