Titanium7
Do people think that the R500 CC number plate on the factory car should really read R50 OCC ? Edited by - Titanium7 on 13 Jul 2014 07:59:
Roadsport06
R500 CC doesn't exist according to my car check app. R50 OCC is registered on a white Caterham registered on 19 March 2008
BigCol
yup... to resurrect previous posts... £60 and three points awaiting its driver for an incorrectly spaced (or sized) plate... or just the fine if the plate was removed altogether.

Edited by - Titanium7 on 13 Jul 2014 07:59:09 Apart from its obvious that it's R50 OCC, just out of curiosity, why do you ask? Guest
It's a £100 fixed penalty notice and no endorsement for an incorrectly sized plate. I know this because a member of the Cheshire constabulary handed me one after spotting my 3/4 front plate just outside the entrance to Cholmondeley POP last month. I had understood that there was a lesser fine for no plate but this is not the case, the offence is the same. Edited to add I was also informed that the offence would be reported to the DVLA. Should I be caught and reported again it is possible the DVLA could withdraw my 5 digit registration. Smithy7
It's a shame they don't spend more time catching criminals rather than getting someone else to pay for them to manage the traffic leaving an event. Easy targets and easy money. Glad they didn't have me for my wrongly spaced plate. Dave
SUPERLIGHT91
I used to own R5OOA which technically was R5 OOA of course. - at the time back on R500#14 around 2002 - noone appeared to mind - but I know they are cracking down on spacing now ready for this November's abandonment of tax discs and doing every on number plate recognition in future, MOT & tax cameras, speed cams etc., patrol cars with built in plate recognition etc.
