DJ.
The headlights look much better I see Caterham are still supplying carbon rear wings with the cut out on the near side years after changing to off side exhausts. Duncan
Guest
Quoting DJ.: I see Caterham are still supplying carbon rear wings with the cut out on the near side years after changing to off side exhausts.yup - apparently they've not changed the mould for the carbon fibre rear wings and this is supposedly considered a 'characteristic' of the car... More like they've not wanted to fork out for a new mould (or had alot of surplus stock!!) Smiffy69
disagree.... On mine I have full length wheel arches and carbon stone chip protectors on both sides. When I built it the near side protector was too short and when I question CC they advised me that it was the old design and sent me a new one that was full length. Good to see they are still as consistent as ever !!

The carbon fibre rear wings are still asymmetrical, whereas the fibreglass ones are symmetrical. Edited by - Roadracer1977 on 10 Jul 2014 22:58:34 New moulds for Carbon wings without cut outs are currently being made ( first wings due as early as next week )and will be fitted to all 620Rs ( including those already delivered ) it was one of the things agreed with 620 owners during the initial build phase . I guess they will be available to others eventually ( at a cost ££££!)
Guest
I don't know why they couldn't have made the moulds sooner? Anyway - if anyone is desperate for symmetrical carbon fibre wings you can always get a pair from carbon mods I've grown used to the asymmetrical wings now and kinda like it as a 'qwirk' Edited by - Roadracer1977 on 11 Jul 2014 08:53:
Steve Cornford
Personally, I prefer the rear wings with the cut-out, so would prefer them to make both sides with the cut-out, fat chance though

I thought it would aid the routing . CC thought otherwise and as it happens the rear exit pipe fits fine under the full height wing .
