Live axle transmission tunnel cover

Although i like the bare Aluminium look, are there any padded covers available for the area directly behind the gear lever or the rearmost section just ahead of the backrest? Something to lean a hand on during entry/exit.

Though it's carpet, not a padded cover.

Its very easy to make a carpet tunnel cover. you can buy carpet on a roll 2 x 1 mtr is enough some spray glue and you have it done.

Ive done this for a couple of customers and it looks great.

Thanks, i want to keep the aluminium apart from the rear most section, looks like i need to make something myself. Something for a rainy day.

 

I had in my mind that i had seen a picture of a car with small sections of padding/trim in these areas.

I bought a new tunnel cover from Redline, but I guess that you must find one of these second hand and modify it

I used a stick on rubber pad used for holding sanding paper from memory. Good to put you weight on and covers any previous dents.

 

Long time ago but worth Googling on Amazoning for something suitable.
