Was in Brooklands hostility box yesterday. Good fun, not too crowded, got in and out of the car park easy peasy, saw a few spills, and a lady driver retire after 2 laps, aww bless!!

Plus got Tiff Needell to autograph his book for my lad.

Was roasting and windy yesterday (but got some good photos of Sir Jackie before the commemorative parade and saw Brundle and Herbert head into their garages too) *wavey*

This morning was drizzle, wet P3 and weather for qualy is anyone's guess.

Have village B for tomorrow, moving round the circuit yesterday and all day today.

The 2012 RB as part of the commemorative parade reminded you of the missing engine and exhaust noise but I actually like hearing the engine and electric systems workings as well as the tyres...gives you more feedback on the work the drivers are having to do *cool*

Quoting diggerman:
I am also in Village B for the race. I can be recognised as the only person out of 120,000 race-goers who will be wearing Caterham shirt and hat. *redface*

And proud of it too *cool*

Quoting Mark Piper:
Typical bloody Silverstone weather and no surprise to see Mr Collins duck out early. Mark, how the heck did you manage to manoeuvre your bus out of that space?!!!

Must admit when I woke I thought I was blocked in but just enough room *smile*

thanks for the wristbands and the loan of the towel *thumbup*

Didn't spot any Seveners but I had a great day. I'm not really into LH but his win made for a great atmosphere.

Despite having sun lotion on, I've still got a fair old Silverstone blush... *redface*

Was great when they let everyone on the circuit, but on the downside, it reminded me of football stadium 'terrace charges' from my younger (pre-seating) days. I had to help a woman stop her 8yr old son from getting squashed as people were piling through a gate they opened for us.

Once were were on circuit (this was all permitted access), with 1000s of people let on, we could see the podium ceremony and walked up the pit straight outside the Merc garage where NR and LH climbed on the fence to wave to / celebrate with the crowd.

Having not Ben for 5yrs, that was easily the best atmosphere I've experienced at Sillystone and the road access was also the best I've seen there.

Hi Eagle. Not much we could do about the gates. This year, to alleviate the 'crush' a total of 4 gates was opened as opposed to just the one in previous years. The crowd this year was not only larger than last year, but also was better informed about the fact that there was likely to be an 'invasion'. Consequently many more people were waiting outside the gates than before.

At least, because the teams were staying for the test this week, we didn't have to wait around to shepherd the public off of the track and I guess you also enjoyed as much time trackside as you wanted?

Only just received your message but was sitting in B63, how bizaar is that *confused*

Was a great weekend, hope you enjoyed it?

Peter

Phone reception was rubbish on the day - I did look out for a Caterham clad fellow but was looking behind and away rather than immediate...you may have even walked past us to go to the loo (or trees more like)/burger van at some point!

What a lucky place to sit and see Hamilton overtake Rosberg!
