OT Transfering money to a french bank account

I'm french and located in France.

I'm buying/selling a few parts for my Caterham and so trading with people in UK.

Yes it's bloody expensive when you do a transfer outside the € zone, £15 is the minium.

There are at least 2 easy alternatives.

Paying with a credit card (which is a problem with individals and very small businesses)/

Paying using payal. It's a bit more expensive than a credit card but far less expensive than what banks are charging.

For these sort of payments Paypal really is the way forward but so many individuals and organisations are slow on the uptake.

Transfers into Paypal from a bank account, drawing against a debit card or using the balance are all free. If the payment is sent as a "gift" there is no charge to either party and it's pretty well instant, in any currency. It gets expensive as soon as credit cards are involved.

*thumbup* *thumbup*Very simple too. It's one of the reasons why I have insisted we get it on the Regalia webshop. You can enter your purchase as a 'gift' on your PayPal transfer and there you go.... *cool* it does get expensive with credit cards but it is quick.

On the other point (transferring money to French account) I do this regularly once a month and only get charged a set fee with HSBC. It was £7 and is now £9 I think (depends on your account type though). My business account is free (up to a certain limit) *confused* Current account does cost....
