Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 24, 2014 Leadership Team Share Posted June 24, 2014 Okay this is strange! I've accepted over time that how ever many times I reset my profile to show images in posts, they just don't appear. On my office pc all is fine but my laptop just doesn't want to know (on my laptop now). However ... I've just discovered that as soon as I start to reply to a thread, if I scroll down the page to the previous posts all the pictures are included Weird! Can anyone explain why? And more relevant, how can I get them to show without clicking on the reply button? Stu.
tbird
does it exhibit the same symptoms with more than one browser, Tim
RogW
I question when this elusive new Wonder Web Site we are supposed to be having is going to appear - images on here are a pain in the 🙆🏻 R
tbird
never had a problem with images in IE , Chrome, or safari, with both Mac, PC,and android so it can't be that bad, very rarely, maybe once a year I have had a corrupt cookie and had to redo my profile, other than that no problems, Tim
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 24, 2014 Author Leadership Team Share Posted June 24, 2014 Quoting tbird: does it exhibit the same symptoms with more than one browser, Tim Yes! I use Chrome, I've just tried IE and exactly the same. First noticed it when replying to the thread about shift lights, Sean (BBL) had posted before me and his post just shows image here - I then need to open it to view it. As soon as I started to reply I noticed his image was showing in the previous posts further down my page. Stu.

YMMV, obviously.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 24, 2014 Author Leadership Team Share Posted June 24, 2014 It's not a browser problem, same "problem" with both Chrome and IE. Stu.
Simon.Rogers1
I have the same issues as Stu! Not that I have checked out the images appearing only on replied to threads. Just that now and again they show - but rarely. However I really am not that bothered as if I want to see the PIC I will click the link. Maybe the new site will sort it all so not worth investigating.
tbird
Stu, that was more a reply to the other comment by Roger about always having a problem, if its all browsers I wonder if you are using some ad blocking software/anti spyware/anti virus that blocks or deletes the cookie, If you log in to your profile, make sure view images is checked, log out and refresh your browser do images work OK until you next reboot. I have all three boxes for images ticked. if that doesn,t work I guess the next step would be to temporarily stop any anti malware stuf you have from running then repeat resetting the profile, don't forget to also refresh the browser after reseting the profile. Jonathan Kay
I get this too on multiple Macs, all using Safari. I can sometimes get it to work without "Reply" by changing the relevant setting in my Profile there and back. I assume it's something to do with caches or cookies. Simon.Rogers1
So this morning how bizarre when I find that on the Nexus this thread shows me the pics!
davestevenson
It's not just you. I see the same thing (Windows 7, Firefox 30.0, Adblock Plus, and NoScript so google-analytics.com is blocked but not blatchat.com). Main thread page doesn't inline the images, but hit reply and it did. The page source certainly show image here , so it is the server sending it as such rather than an link. It's never bothered me - it saves bandwidth if I'm not fussed about the image
caterhamnut
I've also had the same issue for years as Stu and Redslr - never been able to change it permanently.
