Krismuss
My new (2002) 7 has plenty of original carbon (nose and rear arches mainly, front are much newer) and it is very dull and dusty, even after a wipe you get black dust all over your hands! Now I quite prefer the matt look anyway so that's not a problem, though is there any recommended method for cleaning, rubbing down and perhaps sealing, though without going to a lacquer? The front arches are lacquered and shiny, and I'd prefer them not to be, can these be rubbed down at all? Finally, as a last report, is there any value in carbon arches that are less than perfect (I.e. A few scrapes, scratches and splits)? Just in case... Mavic82
As far as I know, older carbon at least was not UV stable, lacquering will help this bit you don't have to have a high gloss finish, you can have a flat finish if you prefer.
Tony Whitley
I'm planning to get my tired C/F wrapped with vinyl. The idea of fake C/F over the real thing appeals to my twisted mind. Another ReHaBer has done his G/F front wings and they look very good.
chris956
I had a dry carbon rear view mirror on my aeroscreen that looked a bit "milky". Gave it a wipe with WD40 and it came up lovely

Grim Reaper
I found the Beeswax polish (with the yellow hive cap) for about £1.25 at Home Bargains.
