Red SLR
I have a 380mb video file on an SD card but when I try and copy it the file transfer dialogue in windows just sits there. If I try and open the file it plays the first 5 seconds then stops. I am pretty sure all the info is there - just something is corrupt. Anyone know of any free tools that might fixt this problem? simonpa
If you can't copy it from the card, it sounds like a hardware problem on the card. If it is all there, you may be able to access it directly with a video editor and save the video from before and after the bad section..
Red SLR
If I try and load it into WMM it brings up 1min 59sec of video (which wont play past 0:06) and then says loading audio data and just sits there....

Jonathan Kay
If you give us all Dropbox access someone might have something that works... Jonathan
Area Representative gileshudson Posted June 17, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted June 17, 2014 Quoting Jonathan Kay: If you give us all Dropbox access someone might have something that works... Jonathan Better still, but I guess key is whether he can get it Dropbox in the first please. At least you've got more varied software trying to access it if you can
Jonathan Kay
*arrowup*Good point. Could someone suggest the smart ways in Windows to wrap the file so that it can be moved? Jonathan
Red SLR
TBH its an "incident" from one of our truck cams - so I would rather not share it LOL! The driver "had words" with someone - I think I will just have to write it off as his word against theirs and tell them he has had a slap on the wrists. Jonathan Kay
Understood. I'll attack it with some OS X stuff if you can get it to me. Jonathan
