Delbert
Really enjoying practice and now Qualy. Night running will not help Audi after the eventful sessions prior So many " names " in cars as well 70 pit crew in the Porsche garage for 2 cars , dread to think how many Audi personnel Oh how it has changed over the years
Delbert
The yellow flags zones where cars have to drive through at 60kph , is that a new reg ( ie the speed) Always thought yellow meant drive with caution and not at 100% Interesting to see cars driving on pit limiter through area Time could be made up on the exit as it appears there is no definition of where the zone ends Ie when you see the green light or when you pass the green light or even when the dashboard screen goes green So some cars will be level with the green light on track before accelerating , others may go slightly earlier ? Guy Lowe
There is quite a lot of concern about the new "slow zone" (CODE 60) regulations that the ACO have adopted for this year, the main one of which is the slow down and entry into the 60 kph zone, especially at night. The concern of many drivers is that some cars will slow down early and 'gently' before entering the zone and others will leave it right to the last minute and brake hard to make up time, very dangerous, especially at night. elie boone
The code 60 is used for a number of years in other race series, it's to avoid a safety car. It's also better than waving yellow because sadly no racing driver is able to stop at the waved yellows and 60km/h is easy to measure. JM Bruni was weaving and flashing his lights in the code 60 area not what you expect of a pro. I serviced a Fun cup for years we where with only 2 people, timing, refuelling the lot. Harry Flatters
I thought you were referring to the utterly dreadful pit lane reporters. Jeez, get Suzy Perry and Ted Kravitz down there, for heavens sake.

TobyCoulson
I've yet to watch any coverage this year as both times I've picked athletics were being shown but I do remember from last year the best commentator on British Europe by far was Liz Halliday. Is she commentating again this year?
Delbert
The 24 hour race has always been hugely popular with British people, and in particular with sports car enthusiasts. In 1999, a record-breaking 2460 TVRs set off from the UK, all headed for Le Mans. An equally record-breaking 14 of them made it shamelessly stolen from SP

TobyCoulson
So I thought I'd tape the legends race this morning. Go to 3 laps from the end and the programme stops. Well done Eurosport and your scheduling. Admittedly there was a problem during the race but the maximum time is 45 minutes so I'd have thought they would've extended the coverage. Silly me. Anyone know who won it?

RS2000
Quoting TobyCoulson: Anyone know who won it? No idea, I gave up watching it, having only a casual interest in this sort of racing I got fed up with there being 10 cars visible in the shot and them bigging up the porsche xyz expecting me to know which one that was! The only cars I could identify were the Mercs as they had a huge Merc emblem the front!
