Titanium7
I have wired in the shift lights into my car and they appear initially to be correctly wired by them coming on for a few seconds when the ignition is switched on and then displaying 0000 I have run through the initial setting up from the guide, right up to action 6 where it shows 4CY (default) The display then just shows the figure 4 for a short while-is this correct? Moving on to the Shift Light Adjustment I get as far as action 3 where the default 7000 shows very briefly for a fraction of a second and then the display then shows 4 again. The far left light and Lo do not display which is the next stage. I cannot seem to get any further with the setting up. Am I doing something wrong? pugwash
My DRE instructions are up in the roof but does the 4 refer to the brightness level? When I installed mine I did have a few questions so I emailed the company direct and they were very helpful.
NickRob
After switching on the ignition it depends which (or both) buttons you press and hold as to which set up sequence it goes into. Problem is you only have 3 seconds in which to start making adjustments before it rolls onto the next part. 4CY is the last set in that sequence so it'll go back to standby after 3 seconds. I found I had to keep restarting as I couldn't read the instructions quick enough! I only installed in Jan but seems to works ok - haven't been out much to really check properly ☹️ Nick
Titanium7
Sorted with the help from Jason at Car Addiction. The issue was having an Emerald ECU constantly sending a signal which interfered with the set up of the shift lights. Solution was to disconnect the signal wire (green) to carry out the setup and then reconnect.
