Frying Pan
Friend was given this as part of a phone upgrade deal but has no use for it. It's a 'phablet'- basically a 7" tablet with 3G and phone. Review here Still in sealed box. His phone is through O2, but I think this is unlocked. These sell for around £150, but he'd take £100 + P&P
Frying Pan
I thought this would sell very quickly - it's a pretty good Android 7" tablet for £100 (Tesco HUDL is £120) with 3G capability. I can't see the phone bit being of much use, as you would look a bit daft holding it to your ear, but certainly a 'nice to have'.
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted February 17, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted February 17, 2014 Guy I am interested because my Samsung Galaxy Tab (the original version) has given me occasional trouble and I hope the newer edition of Android is useful. First dids for a couple of days?
Frying Pan
No problem. He is also asking some of his friends if they want it though...

Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted February 19, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted February 19, 2014 I'll pass, trusting that my existing tablet holds up until my phone contract is up. Last time I got a free Kindle Fire which I gave away (because I already had the Galaxy Tab). However, the Asus does make very attractive package. It's great having a separate SD card (I keep my music on one, with others carrying other data). I like the formfactor (matches a Filofax). I like separating the e-mail and diary from an ordinary phone.
tbird
7HS, is this still available, and would it be possible to confirm if it is unlocked, if it is I would be interested if he can wait a week or so until I am back home, I'm away on holiday at the moment. Frying Pan
Hi tbird Yes, still available We're 99% sure it's unlocked - it's in a sealed wrap, and there is nothing on the spec label that mentions O2
tbird
OK happy to take risk, if it is locked I will sort it, and 02 wouldn't be a disaaaaaster any way, would your friend be happy to wait a week or so until I get home to sort out payment and delivery, should be home on or around the 4th, Cheers Tim
