K series throttle cable outer

Help needed please. My car is a 1.6K with Jenveys ( not DTH ) The outer throttle cable has pulled through at the pedal box end. Not sure what vintage the cable is but at the pedal box end there is a black plastic insert which fits into the front panel of the pedal box. The throttle cable outer seems to have the screw top from a spark plug at the end and this has pulled through the plastic insert. I have an ITG filter so the cable exits at quite a steep angle and I'm guessing this is the problem. I seem to recall someone posting about an angled roller insert which angles the cable below the filter. Even if I could find the post I wouldn't be able to get anything like that made up over here. In a nutshell I need a new cable outer but as it is not a direct CC part, not sure where to go from here. I will be in UK during April, May.

Cheers

The roller fitting article is posted on my website here and uses Bob Simon's design which works really well. You can buy a throttle cable set from Venhill in Dorking from which you should be able to fabricate a reliable installation. You might find something similar from a bikeshop selling bits for mountain bikes. If the thimble has too large a hole in it, a large washer might do the trick, glued in place. Do you not have a small engineering firm on the Island that could turn something up for you? If the drawings in my article aren't sufficient I could provide a bit more detail if it would help. The snail cam linkage also works really well with the Jenvey TBs.
