Guest
So I've read some people say to do it after you lower the car onto the wheels and others say do it when the manual says but keep the wishbones horizontal. What are the pro's and con's...? Cheers.
CharlesElliott
You want zero pre-load; so what you actually need to do is to torque it up when the driver (or driver + passenger) is sitting in the car and the car has been flat-floored. Other than that, the car on the ground is a better option than just wishbones horizontal.
Guest
What I have just figured out is that having not tourqued up the wishbones whilst on axle stands. Once I drop the car onto it's wheels I will have to remove the front ARB to get to the front upper wishbone bolt. So I am undoing work I had completed. If you haven't fitted the front ARB, it may be worth not fixing it into place until you have tightened the upper wishbones.
