Phil G
As it says in the subject. The keyboard appears to go to sleep and doesn't respond to first key stroke. Most obvious when using internet and flicking between screens.
jingars
Given the huge amount of diagnostic information provided, I blame the North Koreans. Edited by - jingars on 12 Jan 2014 14:10:

Roger Ford
If it's a wireless keyboard, replace the battery. If it's wired, follow this troubleshooting guide: 1/ Disconnect the USB plug from the PC 2/ Insert keyboard in waste bin 3/ Spend four quid on a new keyboard from here. It's *possible* that your PC is too busy to notice keypresses. Does it seem slow the rest of the time? You could try unplugging any other USB devices that might be hogging the USB bus. But it's most likely the keyboard is knackered, and the steps above should solve it. Edited by - Roger Ford on 12 Jan 2014 16:46:

PC can be occasionally slow but never before had an affect on the keyboard. It works okay with Office programs. SM25T 😬 🙆🏻
Drumster
Had a similar problem with an old XP system last month where the C and D keys just gave up working. As keyboard was 8 years old I guess it was simply old age. Chucked it in the bin and got the Mrs to raid the IT cupboard at work for a discarded keyboard
