Big Bad Baz
I've noticed recently that whenever I pull away from a standstill, there's a noticeable "clunk" or "click" from "somewhere underneath". Sorry, but I can't be much more specific than that! Is this anything to worry about?

Big Bad Baz
Quoting Paul Richards: Live axle car? A frame bush? De-Dion, as far as I know (1995 Super Sport).
simonpa
Quite likely to be the bush under the dedion, where the A-frame attaches. Also worth checking how 'solid' the rear gearbox mount is - I have had the gearbox hit the chassis tunnel with a worn one! It could be something else, though - the handbrake cable can cause clicking if it is loose. Check your engine mounts too - try putting a jack under the sump (with car on stands) and lifting gently - the mounts should not move. johnv
I had exactly that and it turned out to be the bolts on the roll over bar .. the ones underneath the shock absorbers
