Pendennis
When using the standard input shaft (191mm) with engine in most rearward position a spacer most of been employed, has anyone actually done this? And if you did was there any issues with gearbox housing clashing with tunnel supports? Cheers Ian

Pendennis
I have spoken to Carl, he has been great. I have also spoken to the UK supplier before I started this thread, unfortunately I am still not happy that it suits my application ☹️ If you run standard Caterham setup it clearly is fine..................... The Pikey
Don't they do a short input shaft version then? If not would it be possible to shorten a long input shaft like Phil at R&R does for the 6 speed?
Pendennis
Jason, they possibly do, although at this stage it is difficult to be certain. I am not keen on spending over £6k knowing I have to put a grinder to it, especially as that would almost certainly invalidate any warranty. Also can't get to the bottom of their clutch actuation issue Do you want my Dogbox 😬
The Pikey
I wouldn't worry about the warranty as I hear they don't offer one... 😳
Pendennis
Everyone offers some form of warranty, yes I know Motorsport is different but it has to work on day one doesn't it 😬 Run a grinder through it and that is that
The Pikey
I'd consider buying an input shaft off them and seeing if it can be modified by measuring exactly how much of the splines are needed for your install. If it looks like a goer then send them the modified shaft to built your box with. J

Pendennis
Of course I do 😶🌫️ It clearly is not a quick straight swap, as needs time to sort it out with them, that is not available until the winter. Want it now
