Red SLR
There was a thread not too long ago about protecting the rear mud guards from stine chips. I have now got the Caterham 7 price list. Runs as follows. Upper nose - £60 Lower nose - £30 Sides - £90 Rear wheel arches - £60 Bonnet rear 1/4 - £30 Under bonnet strips (x4) - £40 Front wheel arches (leading edge) - £30 Headlights - £30 Maybe if a few of us are interested we might get a bit of a discount. I want to order the rear wheel arches and bonnet strips. Anybody else interested? Simon. X777CAT
Richie
I would be interested in at least the rear wheel arches protectors.

captain chaos
Could someone enlighten me as to exactly what is Armourfend? Is it shaped and pre-cut? Clear plastic?, if so, roughly how thick? How is it applied? Thanks
Red SLR
According to the literature that I have it is pre cut pieces of an impact resistant plastic. I believe it is OE on BMW and Porches. It is about 1mm thick. I will put their info leaflet on my website. Have a look in 30 min or so. Thanks. S33VEN
Have a look at the website! WWW.armourfend.com I have it on my BMW and it is fantastic. For the next owner! Tony Stattersfield
excess baggage
Simon, You are now outed as a Sloanie. Your car suffers from 'stine' chips, every one else suffers from stone chips. Gary
Richard Ince
I would also recommend Armourfend, I have it fitted to two of my cars and wish that I had specified it for my R500. I have driven at over 175mph(Track) and have no stonechips on the car.
R2D2
I would be interested in the rear wheel arch protectors and the under bonnet strips. I think Arourfend has to be fitted wet and there is akit with the relevant solutions and rollers for about £50. It may be worth asking.
Red SLR
OK guys, I will ask the factory today if we can get a discount and also if there are any rollers etc needed. Thanks Simon. X777CAT
andy oliver
My car has only done 300 miles and already is getting stonechips.I have put some of the stuff from the Demon Tweeks blue catalogue on the rear wings which sounds similar to Armourfend if a little cheaper. It does go on very well but is quite visible and I would wonder about plastering the whole car with it.Is this the case with Armourfend or does it not show?.(I appreciate it still looks better than chipped paint.) Pierre Gillet
Simon, I just visited your site and found the drawing detailing Armourfend applications to be very useful. By the way, I found your site to be very interesting and to include very nice photos. Thanks a lot. Cheers, Pierre
Alex Wong1697456877
The chips are battlescars. I'm proud of them! This stuff does sound interesting though and if my car wasn't so scarred already, I'd get some. Alex
