Red Line Components
I have 15" Prisoner wheels with 195/50 Avons on my '99 1.8 SuperSport with widetrack suspension. Pressures were 15 lbs front and 16 lbs back when i got the car...any views on whether these pressures are best. Rather get informed advice than resort to trial and error ! The tyres are fairly worn, suggestions for replacement tyres - profile and make would be appreciated - regular road use but likely to be tempted to an occasional track day. Matt Prior
Anything really hard and really crap in both wet and dry conditions. A cheap set of remoulds. It'll feel like you've got 30bhp extra as it slides all over the shop. Fantastic. teeth.gif
Alex Wong1697456877
The pressures will be fine, especially for road use. The optimum pressues will only be found with trial and error as no two cars or drivers are the same (or corners) are the same. CHRIS CLARK
My 'Prisoners' are on Yoko 520's & are set at 18lbs all round. Alex is right though, 'cos there are so many other variables!!!
Red Line Components
Thanks for the advice, at least I am in the right ball park. I will experiment when time permits. Chris C - what profile tyres do you use ?
V7 SLR
A little birdy whispered something about the SLR500's Avon CR500s being available in 15" sizes to suit the Prisoner wheels very soon....
