Petrolhead
Currently using 14" wheels but tyres are not very grippy (New word for today?). I have always liked the look of the Prisoner Alloys. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to going to 15" and what are the best tyres for this wheel combination? Cheers
Nick
What tyres are you currently using?
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted October 12, 2000 Leadership Team Share Posted October 12, 2000 Cheers (strange name?) Put Yokohama 21Rs on your 14" wheels (185/60 - 14), it's cheaper than changing them! I'm assuming you don't have Yokos? This will balance grip with handling beautifully. If you need more grip go bigger & wider, but the handling will suffer. Stu.

Petrolhead
Cheers Stu (Its cheers again!) Where is the best palce to buy the Yokos?
c7kjt
I bought my A021Rs from Easytrack. Though you might find George Polley (number mentioned frequently in other threads) slightly cheaper as it seems Easytrack get their Yokohamas from there too. Petrolhead
You read my mind. I have just phones G Pooley. £51.62 + Vat inc deliver for 4 185/60x14
Pierre Gillet
I am not far also from ordering A 021 R from G. Polley who would be ready to initiate export sale for me. Can anyone confirm that grip in wet conditions will be significantly highler than with the new Michelin Pilot Exalto, or at least with the former Pilot SX-GT? Pierre Gillet
Oh mon Dieu, "Deity" maintenant, ça s'arrose! A votre santé Gentlemen! Well, quite franckly, I never had a clear answer to this question which is literally worth being known as there is at minimum a longevity factor of 3 between them in normal road use!
