It's one of those horrible ones on a K where it could be either. I think it's Metric, 14mm on an M8 but 9/16 UNF is very close indeed and it could be that. I take it you mean the pivot bolt? There are 2 bolts after all on a K, and the rather nice tensioner arrangement. You will have to try it...

I've fitted an M8 and it seems ok.

 

The tensioner is rather crude! I've set the tension to something similar to the dry sump belt so it should be ok.

Oily has it as you might expect. I'm getting confosed with earlier Rovers, some of then had both types of fastener, the UNFs were carried over from the A series.

 

I think the K series alty tensioner is very good, it's a bloody sight better than the usual method of getting a bar in and tensioning the belt while doing up a fastener. If it's really well designed you need 2 hands to do up the clamp bolt and you end up negotiating the lever with a knee or a foot. Compared to that sort of buggeration the K series method of "leave the bolts slack, twiddle the tensioner, when it's right do up the clamp bolts" is a joy.
