bryno Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Just want to be sure I'm checking the oil level correctly... Should the oil level be just above the baffle plate in the dry sump tank when running, but below the plate when not running?
cskip Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 It should be just below. I believe that the oil landing on the baffle plate is supposed assist in de-airreating the oil.
Roger King Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Run the engine until warm. Stop it and look immediately in the tank. The level should be 1" below the top baffle plate.
