O/T Setup advice

Does any body have an idea what the weight split should be?

Do these sound right? springs and weight have to be set, rake and distributional can be changed (within reason)

 

R300 Race car 640kgs (inc driver)

250lb springs all round

15mm rake

Currently

L-R 50%-50%

F-R 47%-53%

I've not much experience on these matters (others will be along to advise more) but what you have seems ok to me in terms of weight distribution.

 

I've just set my car up for 50-50 accross the fronts and had the following setup

 

After setting up for 65mm sump clearance and 15mm rake with driver sat in car, I then adjusted further and ended up with.

 

FL 135.9 FR 136.0

 

RL 153.0 RR 172.2

 

Front are equal and there is a 19.2kg imbalance accross the back. Weights above are with a 83kg driver sat in car.

 

Car weighs 514kg with 1/4 tank of fuel and no driver.
