Noticed when I moved the car for the first time in two weeks a small puddle of g/box oil on garage floor.

Went for a spin left it in path and not a drop. Put a newspaper under car last night and there is a patch of about 10/12 drips today..............directly under speedo drive as it happens.

Is there anything else in the vincinity that it could be or will that likely be the culprit?

Searched archives and read varying fixes.

Is the seal easy to get hold of still and is it a straightforward job to replace?.

Many thanks for your time,

Kenny

Speedo drive.

Standard Ford speedo drive seal.

Easy enough to hook the old one out with a small screwdriver. A little more difficult to fit the new one without making it as bad, or worse, as the old one, but perfectly possible in-situ.

Mine leaked when new - replaced it, and 10yrs and many miles later it's still fine.

Cheers Bri. *thumbup*, and just to re-confirm the Ford seal will fit the mech drive on the Caterham 6 speed box.

I'll order one up

Many thanks for that
