Hub upgrade kit + disc bolts?

Hub upgrade kit arrived today

 

CC did not send the bolts to attach the discs to the hub.

Can I take the old ones?

Or do I need new bolts?

You should have had new ones included, check you got all the other bits aswell such as the thin and thick spacers

The new bolts are cap head socket bolts. Much nicer than the hex head bolts. Don't know if the thread is the same ... didn't try them. Ask CC to send the missing bolts to you !

U can reuse the old bolts, i am not sure that these are in the upgrade kit, at least it's not shown in the pic on the website

Hi, just got my kit in the post too.

Did you guys get new lock nuts to secure the stub axle intonthe uprights?

No - not included in the kit .... I tried to buy them at an extra price (as I collected my parts from CC), but they were out of stock. I reused the old ones with some loctite.

Ok, cool I'll reuse the old ones. Do you have any recommendations on the grease I should use to pack with?

I just used a normal high melting point grease. The stuff you can get from any car spares shop.

The disk retaining bolts, did you threadlock them in?

If so which loctite do I use?

Yes .... I used a medium strength version of Loctite thread locking compound.
