A bit of help is required please, I am in the process of fitting a new engine to my car, it was an EU2, the new engine is an EU3 which fortunately came with wiring loom as well. However I understand that there could be an issue with the rev counter reading incorrectly or low, is this the case and is there a fix for it. I would like to get all the bits bought so come the weekend I can hopefully fit it without rushing around for parts, any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Sorry to clear it up my car is an EU2 I am putting an EU3 engine in, it is a 1999 roadsport previously 1600 supersport engine if that makes a difference.
