Not sure if tech talk is the right place for this but can't believe what poor quality the anthracite superlight wheels.are.on my 2005 roadsport , there is quit a.bit if bubbling on the inside much more than I would have expected on a 6000 mile car and certainly more than my 200,000 mile golf has anybody else experienced this , I am tempted to phone caterham, but dont know why!

"We would not be surprised to see that on wheels that are 3 years old" was the comment made by Simon Lambert when viewing the paint flaking off the inside edge of the spokes (where the anthracite meets the rear black) and inner surface (rear black) on my set of 8-spokes.

Apparantly "a reasonable person" would accept this as normal wear and tear.

He also said he wasn't aware of anyone else that had complained about a similar problem before, so if you phone them make sure they log the complaint *rolleyes*

(Note to Mods: All the above is factual and a matter of public record. It may be of benefit to members of this club in determining which products to buy, so please don't remove this thread *nono*).

He's right 😔, my '08 car has large blisters of the coating coming off.

Funnily the paint always comes of my wheels when SWIMBO has driven it. But that's on the outside of the wheels.

I think it is an obviously a problem on these wheels then that wont sort itself and will inevitably end up costing money!! a bit annoying and it seems to be acknowledged , I wonder if it was a mainstream manufacturer a recall would have been carried out ?
