PAC Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Anyone tried these on their Cat? Looking for road use only on a 15" wheel. They seem a bargain at £78's a pop.
Philip Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 They're standard fit for Elises at the moment. Must be OK for Lotus to spec them on a lightish car - check the DOT coding ...
PAC Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Hi Adrian re your blat mail (I don't have a return mail address) I'd not heard of these AD08's before, so wondered if they were known on BT. Yoko 48's are very good esp on the track and when it's dry. I'm looking for a bit more of an all rounder. Price is from:Camskill tyres P
Ozzy Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I've run Toyo 888's for the past few years, but I've got fed up with the price hike, and the fact they don't last me long! So I've taken the plunge, and bought 4 of the new Toyo R1R's. I only managed to try them out, for the first time today, and after I'd scrubbed them in a bit, first impressions are quite good. Bit too early to make an informed opinion though I'm afraid! Camskill do them, and they're about the same price as the Yoko's you mentioned. I've also used 48's in the past (they don't last long either), but don't really get on with them, as for me, they tramline a hell of a lot.
PAC Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 Ozzy, I'm looking to buy in a couple of weeks, if you have any more feedback on the R1R's I'd be interested
andy21 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I'd like to hear too, I'm changing the factory fit CR500's soon and i hear they ain't the cheapest...
CageyH Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 CR500's are not the cheapest, but they last well, and AFAIK were specifically designed for the 7. What more do you want?
PAC Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 I think I'll give the R1R's a try, with the club disc, that's £293 for four fitted P
PAC Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 BTW Andy Do a search for R1R, there is some good feedback in previous posts P
PAC Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Also FYI the Toyo T1R is a different beast, cheaper still, but a road tyre, not road/track tyre, still recommended by some for 7s.
